Top scorer of National League 2018/19

The National League is the top division of the National League in English football. It is the highest level of the National League System and fifth-tier of the overall English football league system. The total number of teams in the National League is 24. While all of the clubs in the top four divisions of English football are full-time professionals, the National League has a mixture of full-time and semi-professional clubs.

The players involved in the National League are very eager to perform as they want to play in the English Football League. The race for the top scorer is always very tough because the top scorer has a big chance to get a call-up from a club of a higher tier. The top scorer of last season Andy Cook who scored 27 goals in the league last season, was signed by Walsall from League 1. Here are a few players who could be the top scorer of the National League in 2018/19 season:

Danny L. Rowe:
The former Manchester United Academy player has been absolutely fantastic last season at Fylde. Danny scored 24 goals last season for the club and was the 2nd top scorer in the National League. He is in radar for a few clubs now but if he stays in the National League in the upcoming season, he has a very high possibility to be the top scorer.

Macauley Bonne:
Bonne is a 22-year old forward who plays for Leyton Orient. He joined the club at the beginning of last season and performed brilliantly. He scored 22 goals in the league last season which was very impressive. The age that he is in, only means that he has a lot of room for improvement. Bonne is one of the top contenders for the top-scorer of the National League 2018/19.

Shaquile Coulthirst:
The striker of Barnet scored 10 goals for Barnet in the league last season. He joined the club on a free transfer on 2017 and performed brilliantly in his first season at Barnet. The club must be eager to keep the player after their relegation to National League. Shaquile Coulthirst has a very big chance to be the top scorer of National League if he plays for Barnet in the upcoming season.
