UEFA Nations League will be played by senior men's national teams of the member associations of UEFA. Where the group champions of the groups in League A will play in the semi-finals and finals. The winner will be crowned as the champions of UEFA Nations League.  The last ranked national team in each group will be demoted to League B.

Group 3 consists of some big names including a previous World champion and the current European champion. It’s very hard to say which team will go through to the next round and which one will be demoted to League B.

ITALY :

Italy are one of the most successful national teams in the history of the World Cup, having won four titles and being the runner-up twice. The Italians also won the European championship once. But they shocked the world when they failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2018. After their disappointment, Italy are looking forward to the UEFA Nations League so that they can add another major competition to their list of achievements. The other two teams of this group have two of the best goal scorers in the world but not to worry because Italy are known to be the best when it comes to defending. Luigi Di Biagio is currently the caretaker manager for Italy after Gian Piero Ventura failed to qualify Italy for the FIFA World Cup 2018. It’s still unclear who will be leading the team in this tournament as G. Buffon retired from international duty. Italy currently rank 14th in the FIFA world ranking.

POLAND :

Poland are in great form after qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2018 as the group E winner of the UEFA region. Poland failed to win any major trophy in football yet but with their recent form, they could shock the world when they play in the UEFA Nations League. The polish have one of the deadliest strikers in the world Robert Lewandowski, who is also their team captain. Adam Nawałka is the head coach of Poland. They currently rank 7th in the FIFA world ranking.

PORTUGAL :

After reaching the semi-finals or the finals multiple times in the European Championship and the FIFA World Cup, Portugal finally won their first major trophy in 2016 when they won the UEFA Euro 2016. Their team captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who is surely one of the best players ever to play the game. He has led his team to victory and he will be hungry to add more international honors to his list of achievements by winning the UEFA Nations League. Fernando Santos is the head coach of the team. Portugal currently rank 3rd in the FIFA world ranking which is their highest ever rank.
