Nations League 2018-2019: Who wins League B Group 4?


UEFA Nations League will be played by senior men's national teams of the member associations of UEFA. There are 4 groups in League B. Where the group champions of each group in League B will be promoted to League A and the last ranked (3rd place) team in each group will be relegated to League C for the next UEFA Nations League in 2020-21.

Group 4 of League B is a group that is expected to be very competitive. It’s very difficult to say which team will be the winner.

Wales :

The welsh qualified for the first time in the European Championship of 2016 and shocked the world when they reached the semi-final of the competition. The only time they played in a major tournament was in the 1958 World Cup where they reached the quarterfinals. Gareth Bale is the man to watch out when Wales plays in the UEFA Nations League. Even though they were fabulous in the last UEFA Euro, they failed to qualify for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs is the head coach of the national side. Everton centre-back Ashley Williams is the captain of the side. Wales stand at 20th in the FIFA world rankings.

Republic of Ireland :

The Republic of Ireland have participated in three World Cups and three European Championships. Their highest success was reaching the quarters of the 1990 edition of the World Cup. They failed to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup and reached their lowest ever ranking. This is why they hired Martin O'Neill who managed to qualify the team for the 2016 European Championship. But the boys in green couldn't qualify for the upcoming World Cup after losing to Denmark in the playoffs. Séamus Coleman, the Everton right-back is the captain of the team. The Republic of Ireland is ranked 31st in the FIFA world rankings.

Denmark :

Denmark is the most successful national side of this group and are the favorites to finish at the top of the group. They have won the European Championship in 1992 after beating Germany in the finals. The Danish also won the FIFA Confederations Cup in 1995 beating Argentina in the finals. The Danish couldn't qualify for the last Euro in 2016. Their new coach Åge Hareide managed to qualify the national side for the upcoming World Cup after a second-place finish in their group. They went on to the play-off against this group's Republic of Ireland with a notable 5–1 win. The Sevilla centre-back Simon Kjær is the captain of the side. Denmark is ranked 12th in the FIFA world rankings.
