The Tour of Guangxi is a professional cycling stage race, featuring on the UCI World Tour 2019 calendar. It is traditionally the last World Tour race of the year. Hosted in China, the race takes place from Thursday 17th October 2019 and finishes on Tuesday 22nd October 2019. The Tour of Guangxi is only in its third year.
The first edition of the race was won by Tim Wellens of Team Lotto-Soudal. He beat Bauke Mollema (Team Trek - Segafredo) and Nicolas Roche (BMC Racing Team) on the podium. Last year’s race was won by Gianni Moscon (Team INEOS), who beat Felix Großschartner (Team BORA - hansgrohe) and Sergei Chernetski (Team Caja Rural - Seguros RGA), who finished in second and third respectively.

Stage 1: Beihai - Beihai (135.6 km)
Stage 2: Beihai - Qinzhou (152.4 km)
Stage 3: Nanning - Nanning (143 km)
Stage 4: Nanning - Mashan Nongla Scenic Spot (161.4 km)
Stage 5: Liuzhou - Guilin (212.2 km)
Stage 6: Guilin - Guilin (168.3 km)
Like the first two year’s, the first three stages of the race are flat stages. Names on the start line include Großschartner once more, who will be eyeing up 1st place this time. He’ll be challenged by Enric Mas (Team Deceuninck - Quick Step), Matteo Trentin (Team Mitchelton-Scott), who recently came agonisingly close to becoming the new world champion, Tejay van Garderen (Team EF Education First), Ilnur Zakarin (Team Katusha Alpecin) and Ben Swift (Team INEOS).
Other names on the start line who will be hoping for a podium finish or stage wins are Pascal Ackermann (Team BORA - hansgrohe), who recently won the points classification in the Giro d’Italia, Sep Vanmarcke (Team EF Education First), John Degenkolb (Team Trek - Segafredo), and Fernando Gaviria (UAE-Team Emirates).
