Tour Of Norway 2019

It is annually held road bicycle event at Norway. The tour of Norway will be held this year from Tuesday, 28th May to Sunday, 2nd June. The overwhelming flow of increasing cyclists in Norway, resulting in starting a bicycle race in 2011. The main professional cyclists were Thor Hushovd and Edvald Boassan Hagen. The Tour of Norway is linked with UCI Europe tour and ranked at 2-HC there. It is organized by cycling event Norway AS and will merge with Tour des Fjords from 2019 to form a six-day stage race. Tour des Fjords held annually between Stavanger and Bergen so that this race will cover all the all the southern Norway.

The 2018 tour of Norway event was won by Eduard Prades from Euskadi-Murias team, while Kamp Alexander and Edvald Boasson Hogan secured the 2nd position is placed with most three time wins.

The 2019 Route

The first stage starts at Hinna park, which is headed towards Soal. As the tour goes, along with the beaches and coast. The third stage will also be raced in the same country of Agder. The stage will take you more inside the country through Konsmo, Byremo, and Evje; the race will be then headed towards the Venessla and Iveland before Kristiansand. This route is similar to the last year when Tour of Norway was not combined with Tour des Fjords, but this time, the organizing team make it less technical by removing the Odderoya part from the map.

The fourth stage will be the longest yet beautiful stage located at Pollen of Arendal. The race will go towards Eyedehavn with the neutral zone, after going with the country of Adger, it will enter into the countryside and will be finished at Sandefjord.

After a break, Tour of Norway will be run at his way with the fifth stage. It will start from Skien in the country of Telemark. Skein is hosting the start and finish lines with the following years. This stage passes through the canal of Telemark at Ulefoss and Lund's. There is an 11.7 km hill to climb at the top of the Meheria, which is located far away from the finish line so there must be an effort to reach the destination quickly.

The Final sixth stage will be starting at Hadeland and taking the riders till Honefoss by crossing Gram, Brandbu, hilly areas of Bleiken Station and Royse.

2. May 29th: Kvinesdal (likes) to Mandal. Stage distance: 172 Km

3. May 30th: Lyngdal to Kristiansand. Stage distance: 180 Km

4. May 31st: Arendal to Sandefjord. Stage distance: 224 Km

5. June 1st: Skien to Drammen. Stage distance: 159 Km

6. June 2nd: Gran (Hadeland) to Honefoss. Stage distance: 175 Km

Total Distance: 1078.5 Km

 

The 2019 Favourites:

The tour organizers already revealed the presence of UAE Team Emirates with Alexander Kristoff and Sven Erik Bystom, along with a great competitor Edvald Boasson and his team Dimension Data. The tour is more competent and typical this time, but also teams are confident and strongest from both Tour des Fjords and Tour of Norway.
