TSG 1899 Hoffenheim next manager after Alfred Schreuder
Alfred Schreuder - From Ajax back to the Bundesliga
The Dutchman Alfred Schreuder spent his player career at well-known football clubs in his home country. He played for Feyennoord Rotterdam, NAC Breda, FC Twente Enschede and Vitesse Arnheim, among others. Overall, his professional player career lasted from 1991 to 2009, where he did not win any major titles.
Alfred Schreuder began his career as a coach in 2009, first briefly and for only a few months as co-coach at Vitesse Arnheim, before joining FC Twente Enschede in the same year, where Scheuder also played a supporting role as co-coach. In 2014 he became head coach here for one year. His work at TSG Hoffenheim began in 2015 - but again only as co-trainer. Scheuder stayed here for two years and assisted the much younger Julian Nagelsmann.
This was followed by another year as co-trainer at Ajax Amsterdam. Here, the Dutchman won both the cup and the championship with his team. Ajax Amsterdam also played a sensational Champions League season and reached the semi-finals as underdog. However, after Julian Nagelsmann prematurely terminated his contract with TSG Hoffenheim in the summer of 2019 to become head coach at RB Leipzig, Alfred Schreuder from Baden-Württemberg signed a contract again. However, this time he managed to get into the coach's chair and has been training the ambitious club ever since.
