The Euro 2020 will be the 16th European Championship and it is scheduled to be held in 12 cities in 12 European countries from 12 June to 12 July 2020. This edition will be the first-time ever that VAR (Video Assistant Referee) will be used in a European Championship. The winner of the tournament earns the right to compete in FIFA Confederations Cup 2021. A total of 55-teams will be playing the qualifying round and 24 of them will be eligible to play in the finals. The teams have been divided into 10 groups of five or six teams in each of them.

Poland has played in 8 World Cups and 3 European Championships in their history. They qualified for all of the last 3 Euros. The highest they ever reached in a European Competition was in 2016 after they reached the quarter finals. Poland is the favorite to reach the finals from group G. The team was relegated from League A of the UEFA Nations League 2018/19 after failing to win a match. They are currently ranked 20th in the FIFA World Rankings.

Austria has played in 7 World Cups and 2 European Championships in their history. They played in the last Euro of 2016 but were knocked out from the group stage of the competition. They played in the League B of the UEFA Nations League 2018/19 but failed to get promotion even though they won 2 out of 4 matches. They are currently ranked 22nd in the FIFA World Rankings.

Israel has played in only one major tournament, which was the World Cup in 1970. They are a former Asian Cup champion. But since joining UEFA, they have not been able to qualify for a Euro Cup yet. Israel finished 2nd in their group of League C and failed to get promotion. They are currently ranked 90th in the FIFA World Rankings.

Slovenia has been a part of 2 World Cups and 1 European Championship in their history. The only time they played in a Euro was in 2000 and was knocked out from the group stage. Slovenia failed to win any of their group matches of League C in UEFA Nations League 2018/19 and has been relegated to League D. They are currently ranked 62nd in the FIFA World Rankings.

Macedonia has never played in a World Cup or a Euro Cup in their history. They have very impressive in the League D of UEFA Nations League 2018/19 as they won their group and have been promoted to League C. They are currently ranked 68th in the FIFA World Rankings.

The only time Latvia played in a major tournament was in the Euro 2004 but they were knocked out in the group stage. Latvia finished 3rd in their group in League D of the UEFA Nations League and failed to get promotion to League C. They are currently ranked 132nd in the FIFA World Rankings.
