Betting odds for promotion from the Championship 2020/2021
Who will be promoted from the 2020/21 EFL Championship?
The 2020/21 EFL Championship will include relegated sides Norwich City, Bournemouth and Watford as they’ll all be aiming to bounce back into the Premier League at the end of the season. Playoff finalists Brentford will also want to push for promotion as will Welsh sides Swansea and Cardiff City who both reached the playoff semifinals in their 2019/20 campaigns.
Norwich City sat at the top of the Championship table after 24 games on 15 wins and 50 points in a dominant first half of the season. They have top players such as Max Aarons, Todd Cantwell and Emiliano Buendía who were all linked to Premier League sides after Norwich City’s relegation, however, decided to stick with the club and will believe they can reach the first division once again.
Outsiders Swansea City find themselves in second place and in an automatic promotion spot after 13 wins from 24 matches. André Ayew, Freddie Woodman and captain Matt Grimes are all top players who’ll have to be in top form if Steve Coopers side are going to continue their run of good form and rejoin the Premier League.
Jason Tindall’s Bournemouth were a surprise relegation from the 2019/20 Premier League under previous manager and fan favourite Eddie Howe. They currently sit in third place on 42 points and look to be in prime position to qualify for the playoffs, if not automatic promotion. Their squad includes David Brooks, Jefferson Lerma, Josh King and Lewis Cook who are all capable of pushing the side back into the Premier League.
Brentford, Watford and Reading are the other 3 sides who currently sit in the playoff places between 4th and 6th. Outsiders who could also make a claim for promotion are Middlesborough, Stoke City and Bristol City.
