Belgium World Cup 2018
Belgium at World Cup 2018: Stage of Elimination
Belgium Top Team Goalscorer
Belgium was the first European team to qualify for the upcoming World Cup in Russia. And it is not a surprise that they have done so well in the qualifiers because they might have a complete team among all other national teams. They have great personals in every part of the field. So on paper, they are capable of beating any team in the world.
Belgium’s main strength lies in the middle of the park as they have an abundance of talent there. So even if a couple of them fail to deliver in any match, there is always a great backup option. Moreover, their pedigree is so high that they would be able to do the job whenever called upon. And won’t need much time to get into the groove. One problem with this abundance of talent is, it will make it extremely difficult to choose a main eleven. But this is a good problem to have, unlike other problems.
In the final third of the team there are a lot of match winners in Belgium’s team. So there is no shortage of talent there. The only thing they need is, to improve the understanding among themselves. And if they manage to do so, no defensive unit would be able to stop them.
The weakest link in Belgium’s arsenal is their defensive unit. They are not a bad defending unit by any means. The problem is the lack of options if one of the armor is unable to play properly. Belgium’s back line have Toby Alderweireld & Jan Vertonghen. They have a great understanding among them, So there is a chance of fewer mistakes which may lead to a goal. Moreover, they have Vincent Kompany who is one of the best defender around. So a fully fit backline may become their strength in the upcoming World Cup.
All in all Belgium have all the ingredient to rule the world after the upcoming World Cup campaign. The only thing they need to do is perform as good as expected. If they can do just that they are sure to provide a good challenge to be crowned the winner of the tournament.
