Leverkusen next manager after Peter Bosz
Peter Bosz - From midfield to the coach's bench
The skilled midfielder Peter Bosz is the current coach of Bayer 04 Leverkusen. He spent his youth in Apeldoorn, where he also played in the youth team of the local football club. Later he joined the professional squad of the Dutch second division team Vitesse Arnheim, where he played his first compulsory game at the age of 17. His following stations as a soccer player led him over France and a short return to the Netherlands to Japan and Germany. Here he played for Hansa Rostock in 1998, but then traveled back to Japan via the Netherlands.
His first station as coach was from 2000 - 2002 his youth club AGOVV Apeldoorn. After various stations in the Netherlands and a short stopover in Israel, he took over the position of head coach at Ajax Amsterdam in 2016. The young side led Bosz straight to the final of the 2016/17 European League season, but were beaten by Manchester United.
His following season at Borussia Dortmund was accompanied by many public discussions. Bosz was only able to stay on the coaching chair for six months until he was released prematurely due to a lack of sporting success. He was replaced by Peter Stöger, who was also released at that time. After a break of over a year, he took over the executive chair at Bayer Leverkusen on January 04, 2019.
